Welcome to CoreMed Plus! Preventive screenings are an essential part of maintaining long-term health and identifying potential medical conditions before symptoms develop. Our healthcare providers focus on proactive, preventive care designed to help you stay healthy, reduce risk factors, and detect health concerns at their earliest and most treatable stages.
Preventive screenings allow our team to monitor your health closely, evaluate individual risk factors, and recommend personalized testing based on your age, medical history, lifestyle, and family background. Early detection through routine screening plays a vital role in preventing serious illness and improving overall health outcomes.
Preventive screenings are medical evaluations and diagnostic tests performed to identify health risks or diseases before noticeable symptoms appear. Unlike visits that focus on treating illness, preventive screenings are designed to protect your health and prevent future medical problems.
During a preventive screening visit, our providers review your personal and family medical history, assess lifestyle habits such as nutrition and physical activity, evaluate vital signs, and determine whether additional laboratory testing or imaging studies are recommended. These screenings help identify early signs of conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, cancer, thyroid disorders, and other chronic illnesses.
By developing a complete picture of your health, our providers can create a personalized prevention strategy tailored specifically to your needs.
Many serious health conditions develop gradually and may not cause symptoms until they reach advanced stages. Preventive screenings play a critical role in detecting these conditions early, when they are most manageable and treatment options are most effective.
Regular preventive screenings help reduce the risk of complications, support early intervention, and improve overall quality of life. Patients who participate in routine preventive care often experience better long-term health outcomes and greater confidence in managing their wellness. Preventive care empowers individuals to take an active role in protecting their health rather than reacting to illness after it occurs.
At CoreMed Plus, preventive screenings are personalized to each patient. Recommendations vary depending on age, gender, medical history, and individual risk factors. Our providers may recommend screenings that evaluate cardiovascular health, blood sugar levels, cholesterol, cancer risk, bone health, infectious diseases, and mental health wellness. Preventive services also include reviewing immunization status and ensuring patients remain up to date with recommended vaccines.
Our goal is to provide comprehensive preventive care that addresses physical, mental, and emotional health while helping patients maintain optimal wellness.
Preventive healthcare needs change throughout different stages of life. Our providers guide patients through screenings appropriate for young adults, middle-aged individuals, and older adults. Preventive care may include monitoring for chronic disease risk, evaluating cognitive health, assessing fall risk, and coordinating Medicare preventive services for eligible patients.
By adjusting screening recommendations over time, we help ensure that patients receive the right care at the right stage of life.
At CoreMed Plus, we believe prevention is the foundation of quality healthcare. Our providers work closely with patients to understand personal health goals and develop individualized prevention plans. Through ongoing monitoring, education, and coordinated care, we aim to help patients maintain health, prevent chronic disease, and detect concerns as early as possible.
Our patient-centered approach focuses on building long-term relationships and supporting patients in achieving healthier lives.
Taking a proactive approach to your health is one of the most valuable steps you can take. Preventive screenings provide the opportunity to detect potential issues early and stay on track with your long-term wellness goals.

I grew up in Florida as the oldest of five sons. After earning my degree from the University of Florida, I pursued my medical education in the Dominican Republic. In 1988, I began my Family Practice Residency at the “old” Pontiac General Hospital. I have been providing medical care to the same community since 1991, first in Waterford and later at our current location in White Lake, where I continue to practice today. I take pride in being board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and remain committed to Primary Care. I am passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle, including a proper “balanced” diet, exercise, exposure to healthy outdoor activities, and achieving work-life balance. I married my Medical School Sweetheart, Barbara, and we are fortunate to have two adult children and a granddaughter. We have been residents of Oakland County since 1988 and enjoy all that Michigan has to offer.
