How does diabetes affect Men’s Health?

Diabetes increases risk for heart disease, erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, and nerve damage. CoreMed Plus provides integrated care addressing both diabetes and overall Men’s Health.

What is included in an Annual Men’s Wellness Exam?

A full physical, blood work, PSA testing (when appropriate), health risk assessment, and open discussion of any concerns in a private setting.

Is low testosterone a normal part of aging?

Testosterone naturally declines with age, but significantly low levels can affect energy, muscle mass, mood, and sexual function. CoreMed Plus evaluates and treats when clinically appropriate.

How common is erectile dysfunction?

It is very common, especially in men with diabetes, high blood pressure, or heart disease. Effective treatments are available. CoreMed Plus offers confidential evaluation and management.

Should men be screened for prostate cancer?

Yes, especially after age 50 or earlier with family history. CoreMed Plus uses shared decision-making to determine the best screening approach for you.

Dr. Mark Richter Bio

I grew up in Florida as the oldest of five sons. After earning my degree from the University of Florida, I pursued my medical education in the Dominican Republic. In 1988, I began my Family Practice Residency at the “old” Pontiac General Hospital. I have been providing medical care to the same community since 1991, first in Waterford and later at our current location in White Lake, where I continue to practice today. I take pride in being board certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and remain committed to Primary Care. I am passionate about promoting a healthy lifestyle, including a proper “balanced” diet, exercise, exposure to healthy outdoor activities, and achieving work-life balance. I married my Medical School Sweetheart, Barbara, and we are fortunate to have two adult children and a granddaughter. We have been residents of Oakland County since 1988 and enjoy all that Michigan has to offer.
