Family Medicine Physician
Mark Richter, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician with decades of experience serving patients across Oakland County. He grew up in Florida as the oldest of five sons and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. Driven by a commitment to community-focused care, he pursued his medical education in the Dominican Republic and completed his Family Practice Residency in 1988 at the former Pontiac General Hospital.
Since 1991, Dr. Richter has provided continuous, trusted medical care to the same community, first practicing in Waterford before transitioning to the White Lake location, where he continues to see patients today. He is board-certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians and remains deeply dedicated to comprehensive, relationship-based primary care.
Dr. Richter emphasizes preventive medicine and healthy living, encouraging balanced nutrition, regular exercise, outdoor activity, and a sustainable work–life balance. He is married to his medical school sweetheart, Barbara, and together they have two adult children and a granddaughter. Residents of Oakland County since 1988, they enjoy all that Michigan has to offer and value strong community connections.
